Pezeshkian made the remarks in a telephone conversation with his Azeri counterpart Ilham Aliyeh late on Thursday and briefed him on the latest developments concerning the US and Israeli military aggression against the country and war crimes committed, including attack on schools, hospitals and vital-industrial infrastructures.
President Pezeshkian stressed that his country will use all its capacities to defend firmly against the aggressors.
The president expressed his appreciation to the people and government of Azerbaijan in expressing their sympathy with the government and people of Iran.
The Azeri president, for his part, pointed to the negative consequences of war on the stability and security of the region, expressing hope that the peace and stability will restore in the region as soon as possible.
The two presidents also exchanged their views on advancing bilateral cooperation in various fields.
